Billy Bragg: ‘An English parliament would still be dominated by the City’s economic imperatives, so a regional solution is required’

Billy Bragg’s article in the Guardian online yesterday nails a very effective argument as to why England needs regional devolution and why an English Parliament just doesn’t do it. This is a cut-out and keep for all those arguing for English devolution!

  1. You’ll notice however Bragg continues to support the artificial government zones – North East, South West etc – beloved of New Labour that have no real grounding in history or peoples identities. He has no time for Cornish or Yorshire devolution.
